Nordic cooking, open fire and long evenings

Closed nowOpens 16:00Today's hours: 16:00–23:00

Open fire

The grill sits in the middle of the kitchen, burning beech from Østfold. Almost everything served has passed over it.

Short distances

Vegetables from Nøtterøy, fish from Lofoten, cheese from Eiker. We can name all three growers.

To share

The menu is built for sharing. Three or four dishes each, ordered as the evening unfolds.

Our story

Somewhere to stay put

We opened on Thorvald Meyers gate because we missed somewhere you could stay put. Where the food arrives when it is ready rather than when a menu says it should, and where nobody watches the clock on your behalf.

The kitchen is Nordic in its ingredients and plain in its form. The cod comes from Lofoten, the chanterelles from the woods north of the city, and the butter from a dairy we have bought from since the day we opened.

We bake the bread every morning, age the beef ourselves, and rewrite the menu when the season tells us to. Which means things disappear without warning — and that something else is at its absolute best right now.
